UAG SP4 has now arrived – Lots of Fixes and Support for IE 11

UAG Service Pack was released officially yesterday (27/11/13) to support Microsoft Latest Operating system Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11). This release now has the following new features

Forefront UAG 2010 SP4 includes the following features:

  • Added client devices
    • Windows 8.1
      Forefront UAG 2010 SP4 supports Windows 8.1 client computers that use Internet Explorer 11 and Internet Explorer 11 on the desktop. Additionally, Forefront UAG 2010 SP4 also supports the following:

      • Mail: Users can use the built-in Mail application on Windows 8.1 computers to connect to a published Microsoft Exchange server.
      • Remote Desktop: Forefront UAG SP4 supports the Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) 8.1 client.
  • Application publishing
    Forefront UAG 2010 SP4 provides a tool (Export2tspub.exe) for publishing RemoteApp programs from a Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) on a server that is running Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2.

Forefront UAG 2010 SP4 includes the following fixes:

The UserMgrCom service crashes intermittently in Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010
