QuickTips: No connectivity with any of Web Conferencing Edge Servers.

Hello Readers

I have recently ran into the following error and thought I would add to my QuickTips Subject.

Error: No connectivity with any of Web Conferencing Edge Servers. External Lync clients cannot use Web Conferencing modality.
Cause: Service may be unavailable or Network connectivity may have been compromised.
Resolution:
Verify all Web Conferencing Edge Services in the topology are running, and network connectivity is available.

If you are getting the error above on your Lync Front Server disable IP6 on the NIC interface. By just unticking the IPV6 box on the network adapter will not do. You have to disable in the register and this KB Article describes how to complete this task. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852. After completing this task reboot your Lync Front Server and repeat the process for your Lync Edge Server.

On Lync Front End Server change all IIS Web sites bindings to IPv4 instead of all unassigned.
