So the count down now begins for the first UC Birmingham User Group meeting happening on the 13th August. I am seriously looking forward to this meeting as so far there has been a lot of new interest in the group and attendees travelling from far and wide. As UCBUG we are aiming on bringing the very best sessions from Community Speakers, MVPs and Microsoft Employees to every meeting. Whether its about Exchange, Office 365, Lync or Private Cloud, UCBUG will cater for all so everyone leaves on the night learning something and make new professional contacts at the Networking segment (basically we all go to the Pub)
It is very much mine, Steve and Jason vision to grow out UC Birmingham User Group so one day we will able to host a full day event with Vendors stands, Sessions from all aparts of UC and deliver you the attendee an awesome where you have Lync’d and Exchanged with other IT Professionals/Vendors so when you go back to the Office365 you can tell you colleagues about us.

6:30 Neil Phillips from MSV Consultancy – Windows Intune Cloud Based Managment
During this presentation attendees will learn more about the Windows Intune offering from Microsoft. Covering topics from endpoint protection and windows updates to software distribution all from a cloud based management platform.
Bio – Neil is an experienced System Center consultant with almost 10 years’ experience in IT. Coming from a support background, progressing into technical oriented positions and then finally into consultancy, he has good knowledge of most aspects of the IT industry. Neil is also a qualified Microsoft Certified Trainer, allowing him to easily break down complex technical jargon and engage customers in a friendly personable way. He holds a number of the latest technical qualifications which allow him to keep ahead of the curve when liaising with clients and students alike.

Exchange Online migrations in complex Active Directory environments have often been thought challenging. However it’s possible to make this simple in any kind of topology, including more challenging multi-forest organizations. In this session we will walk you through each common multi-forest toplogy and deep-dive into the nuts and bolts holding them together. By the time you get out of this session, they’ll be no topology to stop you!

PLEASE NOTE: Currently on Bull Street there is a lot of road works to expansion the Midland Metro Line. You might not be able to see the venue clearly but its located opposite all the shops and set back into a court yard.
Londonderry House NCP Discounted Rate
Visitors to The Priory Rooms have the discounted rate of only £5.10 for 24 hours parking at The Londonderry House NCP on Dalton Street, B4 7LX.
The NCP provides secure parking and is only a short walk from our conference centre. Visitors just need to collect their discounted ticket from The Priory Rooms reception at the end of their meeting. Then when you wish to leave the car park enter your original ticket, followed by our ticket for the discount to apply.
It would mean that 8 hours parking which would normally cost £20.00, would be only £5.10!
